Dashboard FAQ

Common questions about the AeroKing Dashboard. Use the search box at the top of the page to jump to a topic, or browse the sections below.

Signing in & accounts

I didn't get my invitation / password email

Check your spam folder first. If it's still missing, the email on file may be wrong — ask your school's administrator to confirm your address and resend the invite. See Getting started.

I've forgotten my password

On the login screen select Forgot password?, enter your email, and follow the reset link. See Getting started.

What's my school's web address?

Each school has its own portal, like https://<your-school>.aerokingaviation.com. Your school sends you the exact link — bookmark it.

How do I change my phone number / address / emergency contact?

Select your name (top right) → My Settings. You can edit your own profile there at any time.

What I can see and do

Why is my menu different from a colleague's with the same role?

AeroKing shows only the areas you have permission (capability) to use. An owner may have granted your colleague an extra capability — so their menu has an item yours doesn't. This is expected.

A menu I used to see has disappeared

Usually one of two things: an administrator changed your permissions, or an add-on (like Handling) was switched off for the school. Check with your administrator.

What's the difference between a role and a capability?

Your role is who you are (student, instructor, staff…); capabilities are the individual things you're allowed to do. Your role sets sensible defaults, and capabilities can be fine-tuned per person. See the overview.

Bookings

I requested a booking — why isn't it confirmed?

A request starts as pending until the school approves it. You'll get a notification when it's confirmed or declined. Confirmed bookings appear on your calendar.

Why can't I book a particular slot?

AeroKing prevents double-booking: if the aircraft or instructor is already booked for that time, the slot isn't available. Try another time, aircraft or instructor.

How do I cancel a booking?

Open the booking from your calendar and cancel it, if your school's cancellation rules allow. If the option isn't there, contact the front desk.

Training & logbook

My progress didn't update after a lesson

Progress updates when your instructor submits the assessment for that lesson. If it's been a while, give your instructor a nudge — grading is their step.

Can I print my logbook?

Yes — open Pilot's Logbook and choose print for a clean, printable copy suitable for your paper logbook or a licence application.

Money

Where do I see what I owe?

Open My Account for your balance and transaction history. For a formal breakdown, your school can produce your statement, which is the definitive record of charges, payments and credit.

How do gift vouchers work?

A voucher is sold against a product (e.g. a trial flight) and redeemed against a booking; its value is drawn down automatically. Staff and administrators manage vouchers under Finance → Vouchers & Packages.

Can you invoice a walk-in who isn't a member?

Yes — administrators and staff can raise an ad-hoc invoice for non-members from Finance → Billing & Accounts.

Handling / visiting aircraft

I don't see the Handling menu

Handling / PPR is an optional add-on. If your school hasn't enabled it, the menu won't appear. An administrator can turn it on in School Settings.

How does a visiting pilot request to land?

They submit a request through the school's public parking-request link; it arrives in the Handling queue for staff to approve. See the Staff manual.

Technical

Does AeroKing work on a phone or tablet?

Yes. The menu collapses into a ☰ button; everything else adapts to the smaller screen.

I think something's broken / I have a suggestion

Use the Feedback button (bottom corner of most pages) to report it to the AeroKing team, or the Assistant for a quick how-to. You can also use the Support link in your portal footer.
